Marco Silva knows that Fulham will need to be at their very best tomorrow to beat an ‘impressive’ Crystal Palace, who are unbeaten in eight away league games.
The Fulham head coach wants his side to maintain their performance levels from last week’s confident dismissal of high-flying Nottingham Forest, but warned the Whites that Oliver Glasner’s Eagles will be a very tough nut to crack. Palace head to SW6 having kept five clean sheets in their last eight Premier League trips away from Selhurst Park – and are a much more formidable outfit than the one that Fulham comfortably beat away from home before Christmas.
Silva told his pre-match press conference at Motspur Park this afternoon:
“Their away form has been really impressive. Of course, they had a tough moment, a down moment, like all the teams can have, in probably the first three months of the season. But they bounced back, and really strong. On the road, away from home, they have been impressive. A lot of wins – the last three games in a row, they won with a clean sheet as well. A team that will go to the Cottage and really press us high, to match ourselves. A really physical side, and we have to play at our best level, definitely, to beat them.”
Against them away from home, we performed really well. We won the game in a very good way, and let’s hope we can perform in the same level, because if we perform at the same level, it’s going to be really difficult for them as well.”
