Palmeiras have made a new bid worth £20.5m for Fulham midfielder Andreas Pereira – but the Londoners remain unwilling to allow the Brazilian international to leave Craven Cottage during the January transfer window.
The Whites have not formally responded to the Brazilian giants’ new bid yet but it is understood that it doesn’t meet Fulham’s valuation of the former Manchester United midfielder. Pereira, who was dropped for Fulham’s 1-1 draw at Tottenham Hotspur last month after giving an interview where he appeared to express an interest in leaving the club, has returned to first-team action since and is considered a key player by head coach Marco Silva.
Pereira has not submitted a transfer request – as Silva publicly urged him to do last month if he was seeking a move away from the club – and is open to extending his contract with the Cottagers, which has a further eighteen months to run.
