Fulham under 21s defender Jon Esenga has been shortlisted for the PL2 player of the month award for December.
The highly-rated left back shone in the young Whites only game last month – setting up a goal and helping to keep a clean sheet in a 4-0 win over Derby County. Esenga sent over a superb cross that was converted by Callum Osmand when the Welsh youth international scored Fulham’s second goal.
Nominated alongside Esenga are Aodhan Doherty of Blackburn Rovers, Manchester United’s Daniel Gore, Harry Howell from Brighton and Hove Albion, Adian Manning of Norwich City, Jack Moorhouse from Manchester United, Cameron Peupion of Manchester City and Norwich City’s Daniel Ogwuru.
