Fulham full back Antonee Robinson celebrated his fiftieth international cap by creating a goal as the United States beat Jamaica 4-2 to reach the semi-finals of the CONCACAF Nations League.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side held a slender 1-0 lead having triumphed in the first leg in Kingston and Robinson almost had a hand in the perfect start for the hosts after setting up Timothy Weah, only for the winger to rattle the post. Christian Pulisic’s brace put the USA in firm control of the tie before Robinson played in Ricardo Pepi for their third goal of the evening.

Demarai Gray reduced Jamaica’s arrears but a powerful drive from Weah made it 4-1. Gray grabbed his second of the night from close range after a mistake by Matt Taylor, but Robinson and the USMNT can now prepare for the final stages of the Nations League in March and celebrate automatic qualification for the Gold Cup, which will be played next summer.
