Alex Iwobi has urged his Fulham team-mates not to dwell on Saturday’s drubbing by Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The Nigerian international admitted he couldn’t quite put his finger on why the Whites couldn’t build upon his excellent opening goal to record a third win in a row. He told the club’s official website:

“I’m not too sure. I feel like second half we didn’t have the same intensity as the first. That’s how goals quickly change games, and gave them the confidence to kick on. Even though they scored, we need to keep the same composure and remain calm, no matter what. We struggled to dominate like we did, so credit to them, but we’re going to look at ourselves to improve.

Iwobi is eyeing Sunday’s trip to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as an opportunity to bounce back.

“We have to play the game for 90 minutes. We weren’t able to keep the same form that we had in the first half, so we have to analyse and go again. We can’t dwell on this. We have to keep on going and push on. Obviously, games come thick and fast, so we can put it right in the next game.”
