Fulham Women will take on Brentford in the third round of the Women’s FA Cup.
The Whites staged a sensational comeback from 3-1 down to beat Royston Town 4-3 at Motspur Park yesterday – with goals from Megalie Mendes, Ella Tagliavini, Emma Newman and Ellie Olds. They will now contest a west London derby having been drawn away at the Bees, who have won their last twenty matches in all competitions.
Brentford reached the third round by beating London Seaward, who are two tiers above them in the women’s football pyramid, 1-0 yesterday afternoon thanks to a late winner from Nikki Woods. The tie is scheduled to take place on Sunday 8 December.
