Fulham full back Kenny Tete demanded his side improve after a frustrating 3-1 home defeat by Aston Villa.
The Whites went a goal up inside five minutes when Raul Jimenez finished off after a long ball upfield from Bernd Leno, but the German goalkeeper was left helpless when Morgan Rogers’ shot was deflected off Calvin Bassey. Ollie Watkins buried a header after half time and Fulham’s cause was not helped by the sending off of Joachim Andersen.
“Obviously, it’s a disappointing feeling. I think we started really well, 1-0 up. We were unlucky with the goal for us. You get the penalty, which was saved – and you know that it is going to difficult. It happened, you know you have to push for more. It is what it is. At half time, we speak, we changed some things and the game plan but it was going to be hard when we went 2-1 down.
It was not our day. We can do better. We trained really well, but we didn’t do what we had to do. I think we can look in the mirror and say that we have to better and train harder and hopefully we can do better next week.
I think that’s an understatement Kenny it was a dire perforformance too many players had there head up their backsides, was Smith Rowe on the pitch Iwobi headless chicken,Adama to predictable and worst of all was Perreira how is this man wearing a Fulham shirt I am still fuming about his penalty other than kick off the second half he did absolutely sweet Fxxx All
Jimenez is on form striker then he should take it but Perreira is a Sulky Baby if he don’t take the penalties and that’s Marcos fault as well as corners and free kicks that we never score from how much longer have we got to suffer this man lots of fans near me were disgusted by his total performance,if we do this against Brentford god help us totally inept Today all round Total marks for Perreira 0 out of 10 and he’s lucky to get zero Marco needs to make a statement has to why he has faith in this guy I can understand why Man Utd got rid of him he is so far up his own backside it’s frightening ,Also Andersons sending off also made a difference show how inept Diop is as a player all the team with a couple of exceptions need to sit down and watch that game back several times and look at themselves especially the big money signings we as fans need a performance like we did against Man City you cannot perform like we did yesterday in the coming weeks Marco needs to address the penalty situation urgently
The weak penalty effort( if you can call it that) was pivotal. The game was there for the taking at that point and as Keith says Pereira’s childish antics at Forest came back to bite him and us big time.
This bloke should be put on the bench or even dropped for our next match, I’m sure we wouldn’t notice his absence.
How many times do we have players talking the talk on the FFC website. My message to you is “shut up and walk the walk”.
I was hoping this might just be the turning point match where we show that Top six is not just a dream but a reality = which was too many players go missing when it counts imho
