Brazilian side Red Bull Bragantino have offered Fulham £2.5m for Carlos Vinicius, according to the Athletic tonight.

Marco Silva has signalled that the Brazilian centre forward is surplus to requirements at Craven Cottage and Vinicius is in talks with the São Paulo side about a proposed permanent move. The deal is not concluded to take the former PSV Eindhoven, Benfica and Tottenham Hotspur striker back to his homeland – but Vinicius is expected to leave SW6 permanently before the end of this month’s transfer window.

Vinicius, who has scored eight goals in 48 games for Fulham, trained at Motspur Park this summer whilst the first-team squad travelled to Portugal for a pre-season tour and took on Hoffenheim in Germany. He has slipped behind compatriot Rodrigo Muniz, Mexican veteran Raul Jimenez and England under-21 international Jay Stansfield in Silva’s striking ranks.
