Fulham’s under 21s signed off from the Kamloops International Cup with a creditable draw against the League BC Select XI – with the Canadian outfit winning the ensuing penalty shoot-out 8-7.

The young Whites took the lead after a patient passing move that saw Kristian Å ekularac supplying Aaron Loupalo-Bi and the prolific striker headed home emphatically. Moments later, Å ekularac played through Callum Osmand with a gem of pass that unlocked the League BC Select XI defence but the Welsh forward rifled an effort wide of goal.

Fulham were made to pay for that miss as the League BC Select XI equalised just before half time with Joey Buchanan’s diagonal pass putting Joel Badger in the clear and he made no mistake with an assured finish. Osmand had two second half efforts superbly saved by goalkeeper Sammie de Souza and, after Marco Underwood had saved well from Badger at the other end, Lemar Gordon saw a shot beaten away by the goalkeeper and Oliver Gofford’s effort from outside the box was scrambled off the line.
