Fulham have rejected a £10m bid from Birmingham City for striker Jay Stansfield this morning.
The England under-21 international scored on his return to St. Andrew’s as the Whites reached the third round of the League Cup on Tuesday night – and head coach Marco Silva wants to keep Stansfield as part of his first-team squad. Blues are desperate to sign last season’s loan star, who scored thirteen goals as they were relegated from the Championship, to spearhead their push for an immediate return to the second tier.
Please don’t do a last minute sale of Jay. Let’s watch him progress this season. He deserves that.
40 mill should do it Birmingham ?
Great that we are more interested in the player than a very generous fee. Sorry Birmingham! Shows Khan, Khan and Marcos plans for the future. COYW
Don’t sale him we’ve done well in market. Don’t mind if we don’t get anyone . Happy for window to close and keep what we got, any think else is a bonus
Good move resisting the offer. He will be worth much more in future as he progresses. He is worth keeping and developing.
Who’s spending £10m on one player in League One?
