Fulham defender Harvey Araujo has signed for Chesterfield on a season-long loan, the club has confirmed this afternoon.
The nineteen year-old, able to operate at left back or in the centre of defence, has starred since joining Fulham’s academy set-up eight years ago and watched the Spireities’ League Cup clash at Derby County on Tuesday night. Araujo, who shone as the under 21s won the Premier League Cup last term, is delighted to getting a taste of senior football.
He told Chesterfield’s official website:
“I’m just here to play games and be the best player I can. I saw the Derby game and I was really impressed. It was a very good performance. The fans are also really good.”
