Former Fulham full back Liam Rosenior has been appointed as the new head coach of Ligue 1 side Strasbourg this afternoon.

Rosenior, who was sacked by Hull City in May despite being nominated for Championship manager of the season after nearly leading the Tigers to the play-offs, has signed a three-year contract to succeed Patrick Vieira at Stade de la Meinau. Strasbourg, owned by Todd Boehly’s BlueCo, finished thirteenth last season.

Rosenior, who made 92 appearances in four seasons with Fulham at the start of his career, said:

“I am happy to join Racing, a historic French club, with supporters renowned for their passion and loyalty. I will do everything to make the Meinau proud of its team and its players. I can’t wait to get to work.”
