Birmingham City have launched an audacious bid to take Luke Harris on loan, according to Football insider.
The Welsh under-21 international spent the second half of last season on loan at Exeter City, scoring four goals and adding two assists as the Grecians finished the campaign strongly. Blues are looking to bolster their creative options by taking the teenager on loan, but the Whites are understood to be seeking a Championship destination for their academy graduate.
The Jersey-born attacking midfielder has made four first-team appearances for Fulham and is considered one of the club’s most promising talents.
As usual Fulham do a lot of talking and get nobody. All the stars will be gone and relegation here we come.
Do we do all the talking or is it the media , ever way we’ve signed know one looks like struggles a head
Why would that be an audacious bid? We always treat our loan players very well. Just look at how we treated Jay Stansfield last year.
Fulham are a selling club. What makes it worse is we let the contracts run down and sell players for nothing, which makes not sense at all. We never buy new players and get a full pre season despite having all year between pre seasons.
This is the 3rd season in the EPL, it is normal to get relegated on the 3rd, it is as if this is actually the plan!!!
CO ‘down’ YW’s.
Until we have a full time professional director of football like other Premiership clubs nothing will change. We will continue to lose players for less than half their value, spend money at our excellent academy developing young players for other clubs to benefit from and rely on what’s still available at the end of the window to replace the talent we’ve allowed to leave.
Looking like another missed opportunity. The Luke Harris fan club are not going to be happy. When is TK going to learn, that if you have an Academy, the purpose is to groom players for the future, not for them to head for the hills at the first chance they have.
As WO says above maybe time for quality Director of Football.
