Fulham are keen on signing the Stade Rennais full-back Adrien Truffert, according to reports from France.

L’Equipe suggests that the Whites are among a throng of Premier League sides who have been tracking the 22 year-old left back including Aston Villa, Leicester City and Bournemouth. The French international, who has been included in Thierry Henry’s squad for this summer’s Paris Olympics, has two years left on his current contract and there has been speculation that Rennes might be prepared to cash in one of their hottest young talents.

Villa, who saw a £16.8m bid rejected in January, are tipped to return with an increased offer but Unai Emery will need to sell before he buys new players to solidify their PSR position. Fulham will need to bring in competition for their first-choice left back Antonee Robinson and Truffert fits the profile of player sought by both Marco Silva and Tony Khan. There is also continental interest in the young star, with L’Equipe reporting that Bayern Munich, AC Milan, Benfica, Olympique Lyonnais and AS Monaco are all weighing up a summer swoop.
