Bayern Munich have reopened negotiations with Fulham in a bid to sign Joao Palhinha this summer, according to reports from Germany.
Florian Plettenberg and Patrick Berger claim that the German giants have made the Portuguese midfielder their top transfer target and believe that a deal should be easy to strike as they agreed terms with the 28 year-old before his move to Munich fell through last September. Palhinha, who was the Premier League’s most successful tackler for a second season in succession, has been a key part of Marco Silva’s side since signing for Fulham from Sporting Lisbon in 2022 – and signed a new contract two weeks later.
According to Sky Germany, Bayern are ready to offer around £38.25m – a significant drop on the £45m fee they agreed to pay at the end of last summer’s transfer window – and they are confident they can get their man.
He is a goner !! With him leaving,We may need five to six new players in the Summer !!
He will leave. He wants the Champions League and a payday before he turns the wrong side of 30, and I don’t blame him. I’m not as concerned as some others. Lukic is a different player but offers good cover, and Reed still has a few miles left in his legs. We will add at least one midfielder, but I expect Marco and the board to focus on defenders first.
Happy to have had him. He’ll leave this time, and a rebuild is on the way. Good luck.
He’s been a pleasure to watch over the last 2 seasons. Sad to see him go but can’t blame him.
The man is pure class on and off the pitch. Compare his behaviour last year to Mitro the sulking Serb. He took his disappointment on the chin and came back to give 100%. £38 MILLION IS INSULTING!!!!!!
This is no surprise whatsoever. Showed himself to be a proper professional after the move collapsed last season. Good luck to him and should have thanks from all at FFC in my opinion. Marco will have plans for replacements and we now need Boy Khan to step up – I’m afraid I have my doubts that this will happen but I would love to be proved wrong. COYW!!!
Love the big Man Echo the comments of the others a true professional on or off the field did not moan when move fell through last season that shows the mark of the man,The one signing our D of F got right teams won’t fear fear our midfield now Shame
