Bayern Munich have reopened negotiations with Fulham in a bid to sign Joao Palhinha this summer, according to reports from Germany.

Florian Plettenberg and Patrick Berger claim that the German giants have made the Portuguese midfielder their top transfer target and believe that a deal should be easy to strike as they agreed terms with the 28 year-old before his move to Munich fell through last September. Palhinha, who was the Premier League’s most successful tackler for a second season in succession, has been a key part of Marco Silva’s side since signing for Fulham from Sporting Lisbon in 2022 – and signed a new contract two weeks later.

According to Sky Germany, Bayern are ready to offer around £38.25m – a significant drop on the £45m fee they agreed to pay at the end of last summer’s transfer window – and they are confident they can get their man.
