Fulham midfielder João Palhinha has been named in Portugal’s squad for this summer’s European Championships in Germany.
The tough tackling defensive midfielder, who has enjoyed two superb seasons at Craven Cottage since moving from Sporting Lisbon, has become a regular in Roberto Martinez’s side over the past twelve months. Palhinha has won 25 senior caps for his country and will be hoping to help Portugal lift the trophy in Munich in July.
Portugal have been drawn in Group alongside Georgia, Czechia and Turkey.
