Fulham are close to agreeing a contract extension with winger Bobby De Cordova-Reid, according to The Sun’s football correspondent Alan Nixon.

Both sides were confident that the Jamaican international would put pen to paper on a two-year deal, having been a key figure in the Whites’ revival since Marco Silva took over at Craven Cottage. The 31 year-old has been offered a new two-year contract with a significant wage increase after Fulham triggered the twelve-month extension option in his previous deal last January.

The former Bristol City forward has made scored 32 goals in 209 games since moving to Craven Cottage from Cardiff City initially on loan in August 2019. De Cordova-Reid, who is part of Fulham’s leadership group and captained the first team on three occasions last season, has played in a number of positions, including right back, and hit the winner against Arsenal on New Year’s Eve.
