Fulham are ready to revive their interest in Moroccan midfielder Sofian Amrabat this summer, according to reports from Italy.

The Whites held discussions with Fiorentina about signing the World Cup star last summer but the 27 year-old eventually signed for Manchester United on loan. Amrabat has struggled for game time at Old Trafford, making 26 appearances for the Red Devils, and Erik ten Hag has decided not to trigger the option to buy the former Utrecht and Feyenoord midfielder.

Marco Silva is known to an admirer of Amrabat, who starred as Morocco reached the semi-finals of the World Cup in Qatar back in 2022. SportItalia suggest that Fulham have already made contact with Fiorentina about signing the defensive midfielder, with the Italians asking for around £25m for a permanent transfer. Amrabat’s contract with La Viola runs until next summer, but both player and parent club are keen to move him on this year.
