Reports from Germany suggest that Fulham are still interested in teenage Hannover 96 forward Nicolo Tresoldi.
The Whites were heavily credited with interest in the talented 19 year-old back in January, but a deal failed to materialise because nobody would match the 2.Bundesliga side’s Ā£2.6m valuation. This week’s SportBild reports that the Premier League club are still very keen on Tresoldi and sent representatives to watch him in action in the past few weeks.
The Italy-born striker came through Hannover’s academy and made his first-team debut in 2022. He has scored six goals and made two more in 26 league appearances this season. The German under-21 international has not been a regular starter of late but has made a real impression as one of the club’s most promising youth prospects, generating interest not just from the Whites but also from other German clubs as well as Inter Milan.
Hannover believe they are in a strong position as Tresoldi has more than two years to run on his current contract. SportBild suggest that he remains happy at the club and will not agitate for a move in the summer, but they expect Fulham – as well as other suitors – to make their interest more concrete come the close season should the youngster keen on impressing.
