The Riverside Stand is unlikely to be fully open for the start of next season, Fulham officials told the Fulham Supporters’ Trust during a meeting earlier this month.
The new stand, which chairman Shahid Khan redesigned after inheriting the scheme having bought the club from Mohamed Al-Fayed, has been plagued by delays and the collapse of the Buckingham Group. Season tickets were available to purchase in the lower tier of the stand this season, whilst sections of the upper tier have been opened on a game-by-game basis. The middle section of the upper tier of the stand remains unoccupied on match days and it appears as though the opening of the entire stand will be delayed beyond the start of next season.
According to notes of the meeting released this evening by the Trust, Fulham Football Club’s chief profit officer Glenn Sutton said that the club remained ‘confident that the stand will be completed during the next season but unlikely to be finished fully in time for the start of the season in August’.

As a season ticketed retired project control manager I find this utterly unbelievable.
The lost ticket revenue should more than cover any outstanding costs
This is rapidly becoming the longest stand construction in history.
