Fulham goalkeeper Luca Ashby-Hammond has joined Notts County on loan for the remainder of the season after the Whites cut short his spell at League Two rivals Crawley Town.

The Cottagers activated the 22 year-old goalkeeper’s release clause at Crawley to allow the custodian to become County’s first signing since Luke Williams left to take charge at Championship Swansea City.

County’s head of goalkeeping, Tom Weal, told the club’s website:

“I’ve known about Luca for a long time. Having had such a good grounding with Fulham and England, and with Crawley also playing a similar way to us, he’s very familiar with what we would expect from a goalkeeper and I’m really looking forward to working with him.”
