Fulham have signed AC Milan left-back Fodé Ballo-Touré on a season-long loan deal.
The Senegalese international arrives at Craven Cottage to compete with American international Antonee Robinson for a spot in Marco Silva’s starting eleven. The 26 year-old came through the famed Paris Saint-Germain youth academy, but emerged in Ligue 1 after joining Lille.
Ballo-Toure starred as Lille finished second in Ligue 1 in 2019 with the attacking full-back’s displays earning him a move to Monaco for a reported £9.5m. After making 74 first-team appearances, Ballo-Touré move to Milan, where he won the Scudetto in his first season and followed that up with a run to the Champions’ League semi-finals.
Ballo-Touré has won fifteen senior caps for Senegal, whom he helped win the African Cup of Nations title for the first time last year.
A disappointing transfer window as expected with Khan in charge. We failed to secure any top players and had to make do with reserves or journeymen players moving for bigger wages. No quality added. It looks like a struggle to keep in this division once again. Why were players like Wzrd Prowse,Hamer and Gyokies not purchased? We have no replacement striker for Mitro only an invalid. The only bright spot was that Palhinhno failed to be sold. Where are the outstanding South American players we were supposed to buying, all Khan rubbish. I feel we deserve better than Khan and so does Silva
Imagine if Palhinia had left as well. This isn’t only about the fact that our squad is weaker. What it’s about for me is the message we have sent out about who we are as a club and that will have knock on consequences for players wanting to stay and being able to attract others and Marco.
With no real strategy on recruitment that’s executed poorly we just make ourselves look like amateurs. Everything rushed and chaotic due to penny pinching.
We haven’t saved a penny by ‘peeing off’ Marco and missing people like Hudson Odoi. It will cost us millions in the end.
We’ll probably have enough to stay up but we have no ambition as a club to move forward and this window I’m afraid is a reality check for us as fans. We thought the Khan’s were going to move us forward.
Apart from the stand and hitting the bullseye with Marco I’m struggling to see what theyre adding. I wish TK would go now.
Time to get behind Marco because he won’t be here next season after this.
Apart from another dreadful window mismanaged again by the idiot boy, it’s the fact that this mess will surely drive MS to quit at the end of the year. I’ve seen many ups and downs since my first match back in the 50s but this recruitment saga just about takes the medal.
We desperately need to get an effective Director of Football in or we will lose Marco and any hope of staying in the premier league. I’m looking forward to seeing the lad from Everton but, him apart, the only good thing was that we didn’t lose Palhinha – but that was only because Boy Khan couldn’t get a replacement. Joao deserves to be playing in The Champions League and would have (and I’m sure in January will) make a tidy profit on the 20 mil he cost us last year. This should have been more than reason enough for TC to get his finger out. Our club is quite clearly ‘on the up’ at the moment and we have a manager who is widely respected – so what is the reason that players don’t want to come? (I’ll give my answer: he has a silly beard and holds a wrestling programme). You only have to look up the road at The Bus Stop In Hounslow to see how a club should be run – great manager and great recruitment – it pains me to say they are leaving us behind!!!
Surely did we honestly expect Tony Khan to improve the squad. However, he has managed to piss off Palhinha , by sending him off on his great expectations trip, only to burst his bubble. Khan is an absolute joke of a DoF, planning is essential in any business, but that does not apply to him, with Fulham
Well, I feel a little more positive. I think that, other than Mitro, Fulham significantly upgraded the squad again. Palhinha remains, which is good, but I expect that he will go in January so Fulham will need both a replacement and another back-up defensive midfielder. Hopefully, Jimenez will work out at centre-forward, but surely Fulham will look for another one in January. Neither Vinicius nor Muniz seem to cut it. Looking at the PL, I think that Luton, Sheff Utd, Burnley, Wolves and Notts Forest all look worse than Fulham, so hopefully another survival season. A win at Man City today would help!
When does it come to the point that most supporters have had enough of our D of Fi if we made mistakes in our jobs we would be sacked where’s our ambition as a club,Apparently Marco gave his blessing forPalinha to leave does anybody believe that he wouldnt answer that question on Sky I think he was told to say that he looked Pxxxxd Off and I don’t blame him
The squad is just like the stand. Unfinished and just not making progress, He should go but it wont happen as its family. My only concerned is the penny pinching, 2m more would have got CHO and if we would have got Gyokres I would have been happy. Time will tell with Raul there’s hope, but why Muniz gets game time ahead of Vinni beats me.
We missed the boat again with 2 or 3 signings we could have been looking forward to possible European football but I guess we will be happy to survive or at best maintain where we were. but to do that we need goals and I’m not sure where they are going to come from
