Fulham have rejected a £5m offer from Wolverhampton Wanderers for Harrison Reed.

The Whites do not wish to sell the former Southampton midfielder, who helped them return to the top flight when he joined an initial season-long loan from St. Mary’s, and has since established himself as a regular in the Fulham side. Reed, who has featured in all four first-team fixtures so far this season, has been reinvented into a marauding midfielder by head coach Marco Silva and is under contract at Craven Cottage until next summer, although Fulham can trigger their 12-month extension option.

Wolves manager Gary O’Neill has been a long-term admirer of the 28 year-old and Wanderers are expected to improve their offer, but Fulham are determined to keep their first-team squad together having lost Aleksandar Mitrovic earlier in the transfer window.
