Fulham have revived their interest in signing the Sevilla winger Lucas Ocampos, according to reports from Spain.

The Whites had two offers for the Argentinian international rejected by Sevilla five weeks ago and they have returned to try and sign the 29 year-old in the last five days of the summer transfer window. Ocampos, who has scored 39 goals in 163 games for the La Liga side, is now into the final twelve months of his contract with Los Nervionenseses and is seeking more regular game time.

Ocampos, who has won a pair of Europa League titles whilst in Spain, has won eleven senior caps for Argentina and has reportedly already verbally agreed personal terms with Fulham. Sevilla and Fulham are believed to be haggling over the precise amount payable up front for Ocampos – but the Londoners’ recruitment team are more confident of reaching a suitable deal swiftly.

The Spanish press suggested in June that Sevilla were seeking around £17m for the right winger, but Ocampos’ interest in moving to the Premier League and the fact that he doesn’t appear to be in José Luis Mendilibar’s long-term plans at The Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán.
