Fulham have agreed the terms of a deal with Sevilla for the Argentinian winger Lucas Ocampos, according to various reports this afternoon.

The 29 year-old will now decide whether to move to Craven Cottage and get his first taste of Premier League football. Ocampos, who has won eleven senior caps for his country, returned to Sevilla from a disappointing loan stint at Ajax last season and helped the Spanish side win the Europa League for the second time during his spell at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán.

He is unlikely to feature in José Luis Mendilibar’s first team plans and has been a longstanding target of Fulham head coach Marco Silva, who wishes to add further wide options before Friday night’s transfer deadline having lost three wingers at the end of last season. Sevilla are seeking to balance the books through sales this summer, having already seen Moroccan World Cup goalkeeper Bono move to Al-Hilal.

The Telegraph also reports this lunchtime that Silva’s preferred centre forward would be German international Niclas Füllkrug but Werder Bremen are unwilling to sell their star striker.
