Young Fulham full-back Luciano D’Auria-Henry has joined League One Cheltenham Town on loan for the remainder of the season.

The 20 year-old, who has been with the Whites for a decade, starred as Steve Wigley’s under-21 side made a strong return to the PL2 last term – scoring once and supplying five assists in 21 matches. He played a key part in the under 21s remarkable comeback to beat Wolves 3-2 on Friday night with two assists in the last three minutes that secured a win for the young Whites in Hayden Mullins’ first game in charge.

D’Auria-Henry, who was named on the bench by Marco Silva for Fulham’s League Cup fixture at Crawley Town last August, could make his senior debut tomorrow at Fratton Park as he has gone straight into Wade Elliott’s matchday squad for Cheltenham’s trip to Portsmouth. D’Auria told the Robins’ official website this morning:

“I’m buzzing to join the club. I’ve been waiting for an opportunity like this for a while now, so i’m ready to crack on and help the team. I’ve had a great time with Fulham, it’s a great club. But I think it’s time for a new challenge in senior football so I can push on and really start my career. I can defend, I can attack and I think I can bring a lot to the team going forward.”
