Raúl  Jiménez is ‘really excited’ by the prospect of leading the Fulham line after he completed his move from Wolverhampton Wanderers, which was finalised in the past three days.

The Mexican international, who became Marco Silva’s first summer signing tonight, told FFC TV:

“It happened really quickly. I just had a call from my agent that I was creating some interest in Fulham three days ago. It was all really fast. I’m happy to be here and to play in this stadium, it’s a really good stadium, I like it here. I’m going to give my best to keep scoring goals in the Premier League.

I’m really excited. I like the idea of how Fulham like to play. It’s really important for me to arrive here. I will try to do my best for the team, one of the most iconic teams in the Premier League. I saw some Fulham games last season. It was a good season and now that I am here I hope this continues!

I think I’m not just a striker who likes to go into the box and wait for the ball. I like to create, assist, to make some movements to free other players. I think that will help the team: not just me, maybe my team-mates can make a good pass and I can be in the exact place at the exact moment.”
