Fulham have confirmed that under-21 midfielder Adrion Pajaziti has completed a season-long loan move to Norwegian side FK Haugesund.
The classy 20 year-old, who made his senior debut in last season’s League Cup win at Birmingham City, has been in brilliant form for Steve Wigley’s side this season. The Albanian under-21 international has scored three goals in fifteen PL2 outings this term and laid on two assists as the under 21s thrashed QPR in the Premier League Cup last week.
Pajaziti will gain valuable first-team experience at Haugesund, who hold an option to make the move permanent. He has joined his new team-mates at their warm weather training camp in Marbella and could make his first appearance in a friendly against Lillestrøm on Friday.
For someone who has been performing admiralty for the U21s
I wonder why we have let him go…? A loan for experience yes….but with option to buy ??
It makes you wonder, what’s the point of an academy? Surely our youngsters must be given the opportunity of a career path towards 1st team football. It seems pointless to develop players, only to be discarded and let go at the end of their apprenticeship. However, some players do get the opportunity to progress their careers at a lower league level, but that’s no benefit to Fulham. I don’t think that our academy is self-financing, so what’s the point?
