Loved the John Pantsil interview.
Loved the guy. You got a lot out of him.I went to with my nephew, also fulham fan, to the World Cup in SA.We stayed at the same hotel as the Ghana team in Sun City.
We were in the lift and the Ghana coaches stepped inWe started chatting with them, and asked them to wish Johnny good luck from the Fulham fans.
The morning of the match against USA the Ghana team came back from training. In front of the foyer entrance was a band playing African music. The whole team, led by Johnny, started to dance. There was such great vibes, and the team was So relaxed they had to win that night. From then on Ghana was representing the whole of Africa. It was sad to hear how the handball in the next game affected the future careers and destiny of that Team.
A long story short, in Colombia my family unbelievably ended up sharing a table and eating pizza with Kofi Annan, a proud Ghanan. I told him that the Ghanan team celebrated all night after Winning the USA match. He told me he loved Johnny too.
I too have never watched the final again. I left the ground, walking through the Hamburg mist, before the presentation.
Hope he can get his Testimonial at the Cottage. Will definitely be there
