Rodrigo Muniz and Fulham are looking for a new loan destination for the striker to gain more game time for the remainder of the season – after Middlesbrough brought in Cameron Archer on loan, according to the Athletic’s Peter Rutzler.

The former Flamengo forward, who scored five goals in 25 appearances after moving from Brazil to become Aleksandar Mitrovic’s understudy, has fallen down the Boro pecking order since Michael Carrick took over at the Riverside. The 21 year-old scored twice in his first four games after being brought in by Chris Wilder, but has started just once under Carrick and did not get off the bench as Middlesbrough exited the FA Cup in a 5-1 thrashing by Brighton at the weekend.

There is believed to be significant interest in Muniz, whose goal tally during Fulham’s Championship-winning campaign is a lot more impressive when you consider that 23 of his appearances came as a substitute. Marco Silva still rates the striker highly and another loan would allow the centre forward to gain greater experience of English football for the rest of this term.
