Fulham are preparing a bid for Roma right back Rik Karsdorp as the Dutch defender looks set to move on in January after his relationship with Jose Mourinho has totally disintegrated.

Reports from Italy this morning say that the Premier League side are in pole position to sign the right back next month, with Mourinho having told Karsdrop that he can leave the club having left him out of their warm weather training camp in Japan. Italian journalist Gianluca di Marzio reports this morning that Fulham are the only interested party ready to finance a permanent offer, with other suitors Torino and Lille looking at a possible loan arrangement.

Marco Silva is in the market for a new right back as a back-up for Kenny Tete after Kevin Mbabu’s underwhelming displays since arriving from Wolfsburg in July.
