Michael Hector signed for Fulham from Chelsea for a rumoured £7m in September 2019 but couldn’t play for the Whites until the following January owing to FIFA regulations. The cultured centre half had an immediate impact at the heart of Scott Parker’s defence delivered a series of composed performances and produced a stupendous goal-line clearance in the play-off semi-final against Cardiff. The Jamaican international’s form never recovered after an error-strewn start to the following Premier League season and he was released in June 2022 after making 21 first-team appearances.
