Per Turkish journalist Ekrem Konur, Fulham are monitoring Andriy Yarmolenko who is set to become a free agent after four years on the east side of London at West Ham United.
The 32-year-old Ukrainian winger has over 100 caps for his country and is a 4 time winner of the Ukraine Player of the Year award. His £17m move to West Ham following a year at Borussia Dortmund hasn’t seen him match the performances of his price tag with his time at the London Stadium affected by the Coronavirus pandemic, project restart and now the war in his home country.
Much of the early transfer window whispers have connected Fulham to the free agent market.
1) Glad you guys are back. I was worried the site would be closibg or sth. wirh no updates in almost a week…
2) 90% of the names out there are not encouraging me to believe we learned from our past two promotions… Yarmolenko, really? He has not proven anything at all in English football for the past 3.5 years. I am not saying we should go full-on Villa who by the way were like us in relegation promotion struggles until about 2 years ago, but you need difference makers, at least 1 quality CB, midfielder and a dribbler upfront. And proven guys also, this is not the NFL or the NBA where the upside element comes into play bc you are drafting kids who just played college games…
