Fulham’s under 23s are back in Premier League Cup action this evening as they face West Ham United in a quarter final at Rush Green.
Steve Wigley’s side have enjoyed a sensational campaign, having secured promotion and the PL2 Division 2 title five matches before the end of the regular league season, and are now targeting a domestic double. The young Whites are the only unbeaten side left in the Cup – having progressed from Group H as comfortable winners with five wins from their six fixtures. Fulham then beat Newcastle United 2-0 to clinch a place in the quarter finals.
Prominent stars of the under-23 side could feature with skipper Sonny Hilton, who has scored nine goals and added eight assists, enjoying a superb season alongside teenager Luke Harris, who has scored nine times at the tender age of seventeen.
The London derby should be an exciting affair with the Hammers having finished top of Group F and reached the last eight with victory over Leeds United. The fixture is played behind closed doors in Romford, but will be streamed via West Ham’s Youtube channel.
