Fulham have reportedly identified Max Aarons as their top target at right back should a deal to keep Neco Williams prove impossible.
Football Insider reports this morning that Marco Silva is determined to strengthen at right full back as Fulham prepare for the Premier League and the Norwich City defender features prominently on his shortlist. The Whites are ready to add several defensive reinforcements over the summer but with doubts over whether Williams will return to Craven Cottage following his successful loan spell, they are ready to join the race to sign the former England under-21 international.
Aaarons appears certain to leave Carrow Road this summer with Norwich poised to drop out of the top flight. The Canaries’ relegation could be confirmed as early as this weekend and the 22 year-old has consistently been linked with a number of Premier League clubs since coming through the Norwich academy. The Hammersmith-born full back, who has won fourteen caps for his country at under-21 level, has made 160 first-team appearances for City – including 29 in the league this season.
Why does it not fill me with confidence. We are looking to sign a defender from the side bottom of the premiership. They have been shipping goals all season. DUH!!!
Aaron’s is quality and would provide a very good option on the right and he is still a young talent. Very excited by this
Not sure about signing williams i think Kenny Tete is a better full back
