Winger Martial Godo has enjoyed a meteoric rise since joining Fulham from non-league Margate following a successful trial in March 2022. He quickly impressed in the under-21 side and was one of the few bright spots in a League Cup defeat to League Two Crawley Town in August 2022, coming off the bench to make his debut. Godo shone on loan at Wigan Athletic in 2023/24, scoring four goals in 37 games, and making his England under-19 debut. He returned to Fulham, richly deserving a new four-year contract, and made another senior appearance in the League Cup loss on penalties at Preston North End.
