Fulham have signed an academy development partnership agreement with Italian side Ternana Calcio.
The link-up, confirmed by Fulham’s head of football development Huw Jennings in an interview on the club’s official website this afternoon, is Fulham’s third such arrangement following partnerships formed with Dundee United and Croatian outfit Gorica earlier this season.
Ternana, based in Umbria, were promoted into Serie B last season and have battled back from Italian football’s regional divisions after going bankrupt in 1993. Jennings told FFCTV:
“We have been in discussions with Serie B side Ternana Calcio. They are a really interesting team, with a really progressive owner, who has got education interests in this country as well. I can confirm that both parties have agreed to sign what is now our third partnership. There’s a number of progressive opportunities of associating with a club in Italy.”
Media label stickers who see FFC as a nursery for their big six will need to attach a new label.
