Watford are exploring alternative destinations for midfielder Domingos Quina in the January transfer window as they consider terminating his unsatisfactory loan at Fulham, according to reports this evening.
The former Portuguese under-21 international joined Fulham on loan from the Hornets on the final day of the August transfer window but has struggled to make much of an impression on Marco Silva’s first-team squad following the return to fitness of promising teenager Fabio Carvalho and captain Tom Cairney. Quina has made just three appearances for the Whites and hasn’t been included in a first-team matchday squad since October.
Watford are eager for Quina to be playing regular football and are ready to recall him from Craven Cottage if they can find a club willing to offer him first-team football. The 22 year-old started Fulham’s 1-0 defeat at Blackpool in September but his only other appearances have come as a substitute in the 4-1 win at Birmingham four days later and in the League Cup against Leeds.
What a joke, he should come back to Watford and be given a chance to add some creativity to a midfield void of creativity. Why must he go on loan? Give the lad a break.
What a joke, he should come back to Watford and be given a chance to add some creativity to a midfield void of creativity. Why must he go back out on loan? Give the lad a break. He’s one for now, not the future
If a loan doesn’t work out immediate return benefits both the players club and the player themselves.Being shelved helps no one and fighting for a place is better earned at the original club than being bypassed.
It is better for everyone to return to his parent club Watford. He has not exactly shone at Fulham. It did not work out
From the little l’ve seen of him he looked creative however his work rate seems to be in question from training which cannot comment on
It just seems it hasn’t worked out.
