Fulham full back Cyrus Christie is set to leave Fulham on a permanent basis before the end of the January transfer window.
The Republic of Ireland international has made 68 appearances in his three years at Craven Cottage and been part of two Championship promotion-winning campaigns. But the 28 year-old right back has played just once since Marco Silva succeeded Scott Parker last summer and has spoken publicly of his desire to be playing regular football action.
Christie had been linked with a move to Blackburn or Cardiff City during this window. But reports from Wales this afternoon claim that the Bluebirds have ended their interest in the former Middlesbrough and Derby full back after learning that a loan will not be an option in January. Christie, who came through the ranks at Coventry City, has also reportedly interested Elche and Bologna.
Bye Cyrus. Don’t let the door hit you on the way out.
Good luck to him wherever he goes.
Good guy, decent player. Wish him luck
Hope that he finds a good club where he can get a lot more 1st team football again and feel confident in the fact that the manager believes in him. Good luck to you Cyrus and thanks for your service to us.
