Harry Wilson is in contention to returning to the Fulham starting line-up at Birmingham City tomorrow night after missing the defeat by Blackpool at the weekend, but Fabio Carvalho appears likely to miss out again.
Fulham head coach Marco Silva gave a positive update on the Welsh winger’s fitness during this morning’s pre-match press conference, but was more downbeat on teenager Carvalho, for whom Saturday’s meeting with Reading at Craven Cottage might be a more realistic target.
Silva said: “Harry Wilson is good, he’s okay. He’s making steps to play tomorrow. We have some more doubts about Fabio. He got a knock to his foot, on his toe. Against Stoke he played with some pain in his foot, and after that it got a little bit worse. It’s not something really, really serious, but we are trying to reduce the pain so he can train in a high intensity and can be ready to play as well.”
That is is good news. Please make my day by changing goalkeeper and not starting with Cavaleiro. Also leave Robinson at home to freshen up and give Bryan a chance. Also possibly the same could be said for Ream and Mawson, Some of players looked very tired in the Blackpool match
Agree John a few should not have played Saturday ,first mistake by Silva Carvalho needs to sign contract before he gets in before others players, even if it’s with buy out clause so we don’t lose out
Good point re Carvalho and Silvia’s wish to have him in the team should be respected.
