Spanish giants Real Madrid are interested in signing Fulham star Fabio Carvalho, according to the Daily Mail this afternoon.
The teenager has quickly become a vitally important part of Marco Silva’s side, having scored three goals and laid on another as Fulham have made an unbeaten start to the new Championship campaign. But Carvalho, who burst onto the scene with a goal on his first Premier League start last season, has turned down a contract extension at Craven Cottage and could leave for nothing when his current deal expires at the end of this term.
The Mail suggests that Real Madrid are rivalling at least ten Premier League sides in the race for Carvalho’s signature. The England youth international, who has starred for Fulham’s youth sides since joining the club from Balham back in 2014, was also linked with a move to Barcelona last month. The London club are desperate not to lose their latest academy starlet and remain in talks with Carvalho’s representatives.
Just read this Roberts told This Is Futbol: “For me, Sessegnon has never been the same player since when he was at Fulham.
Same will apply to Carvalho … if he goes at this stage he will just be one of many options , have no real playing time and maybe fade into the past . Stay at Fulham he can get real experience under belt , be playing regular Premiership football next year and maybe with Silva behind him can opt for Portugal National team . And one note worthy point … he did not shine so brightly at Stoke … once opposition close him down he might struggle so he has a lot to learn and he has God Sent Opportunity under Silva … now if it was The Man Now At Bournemouth I would understand taking a massive risk and leaving …
If he has any common sense he will look at the many other stars that have left and see how their careers have stumbled in to loan after loan.
Ryan Sessegnon and Patrick Roberts are the two best examples of this, Harvey Elliott is quite possibly going the same way.
Stay at the club, improve your skills and knowledge, hopefully we will be back in the Premier league next year and he can test himself at the highest level and continue to learn, not sit on the bench at a top top club.
We have heard nothing from the board about this and it’s worrying this looks like it’s fuelled by journalists to give them a massive story we have produced this lad thru the academy to go on and play for Fulham if this lad was at Man Utd or Chelsea etc we would not be hearing stories like this the Media are Jealous because We have this player agree with the others stay and see what he does in the premier league
Don’t believe everything you read in the Daily Liar, the Boris Johnson of newspapers.
Come on Fulham and get Fabio signed up to a long contract it’s in everyone’s best interest, we have to keep him here at Fulham.
