Fulham defender Tosin Adarabioyo admits anything short of an immediate return to the Premier League will be a failure.
The 23 year-old centre back, so impressive in his debut season at Craven Cottage despite Fulham’s relegation, makes no bones about the fact that getting back to the top flight is the club’s only objective this term.
He told the Mirror: “We’re going into the season for one thing and that’s to get back to the Premier League. So anything short of that is definitely a failure. From day one of pre-season, relegation was behind us — obviously, we can’t dwell on that for too long. It was a disappointment but we’re all just focused on this season.
We obviously have a different manager so it’s different ways of playing, different systems, and we’re all just getting used to that, getting used to the demands of the new manager and hopefully it all goes well.”
With the size and the quality of the squad I would be very surprised if they weren’t champions, going up via the play offs would have to be classed as some sort of failure so go out and win it convincingly, have it wrapped up with a few games to spare
