Young goalkeeper Jacob Adams has signed his first professional contract with Fulham this afternoon.
Adams made his debut for Fulham’s under 23 side last season during a 2-2 draw with Newcastle after impressing the club’s coaching staff when on trial from East Grinstead. The 20 year-old has signed a one-year deal, with Fulham holding an option for another year’s extension.
Adams told the club’s website:
“I’m absolutely buzzing to sign this after a trial period last year. I’ve achieved my dream of becoming a professional footballer, so I’m delighted. I want to keep pushing on and improving so hopefully that hard work will pay off and I’ll continue to progress within this great football club.”
Academy director Mike Cave added:
“I’m very happy that Jacob has agreed to continue his time with us. He has clearly demonstrated the academy values of hard work, honesty and humility throughout his time with us and this next step is further recognition of that.”
