Aleksandar Mitrovic made his return to Fulham action as Marco Silva’s side continued their pre-season preparations with a behind-closed-doors friendly against Ipswich Town earlier this afternoon.
The Fulham side also featured Kenny Tete and Andre Frank Zambo Anguissa. Neither club has released a scoreline from the fixture – in keeping with last week’s training game at Derby County.
UPDATE: The Athletic’s Peter Rutzler reports that two 45 minute training games were played at Motspur Park. Fulham won the first 2-1 – with goals scored by Fabio Carvalho and Mitrovic. Lee Evans scored for Ipswich. The second 45 minutes finished goalless.
Great to see Mitro back I found it incomprehensible that he was treated the way he was I believe he loves our club and if we play to his strengths and deliver crosses he will deliver goals. I welcome our new manager and hope never again to see a game like the Newcastle end of season game with no recognised striker on the pitch for us.
Brilliant to see Mitro back, looking very trim and scoring goals. He’ll be the most important signing we could make this summer. Very excited to see Carvalho get more of a run – could be an important player in the Championship.
Hopefully Mitro stays & Silva plays to his strengths, unlike Parker
Great to see Mitro back and looking fit and focused. Certainly exciting to see Fabio Carvalho also keeping good form from last seasons last two games.
Welcome home Mitro. Parker has gone – thank God, and we have a new head coach who must surely appreciate his talents and treat him with the respect he deserves.
