Harry Wilson’s decision to leave Liverpool for Fulham in July 2021 was rewarded with one of the most consistent campaigns of his career. The Welsh wizard scored eleven goals in 43 games – adding an incredible 21 assists – as the Whites romped to the Championship title. His invention, intelligent running and eye for a pass made the right winger an automatic starter for Marco Silva and it was no surprise that his move to Craven Cottage was made permanent this summer. Wilson was cruelly robbed of the chance to start the Premier League season by a bad tackle from Tyrone Mings in a pre-season friendly, but he recovered from a serious knee injury to represent Wales at the World Cup in Qatar.
Wilson wrote his name into Fulham folklore with a stunning substitute appearance against Brentford earlier this season, when his two stoppage-time strikes secured a dramatic derby victory for Marco Silva’s side at Craven Cottage.
