Fulham boss Scott Parker has praised Bobby Decordova-Reid’s ‘versatility’ and ‘elite fitness’ after the forward emerged as a key part of the Whites’ Premier League resurgence.
The Jamaican international is Fulham’s top scorer – with seven goals in 31 appearances – after managing just six goals in 47 matches last term. The 28 year-old has become pivotal to Parker’s plans having been deployed at right wing-back, right back and a number of midfield positions, demonstrating just how much Fulham manager feels he can rely on Decordova-Reid.
Parker told his pre-match press conference ahead of the visit of Manchester City:
“He has been incredible with his versatility. There is never anything too much for Bob. Physically incredible – his numbers that he can produce physically are elite, and that always gives him that option to play in other positions. And he’s a real goal threat. He has got a knack of sniffing out goals, being in the right areas, gambling on things.
He was fantastic for us last year, and this year, in his second year in this league, after a year with Cardiff, has been very, very good and has been key for us. He is a key player in this team. He has done tremendously well.”
