Fulham defender Alfie Mawson is poised to join Bristol City on loan, according to The Athletic reporter Adam Leventhal.
Mawson, who has struggled for both form and fitness in his two years at Craven Cottage, had been interesting a number of Championship sides over the summer, including Watford and QPR. Bristol City appear to have won the race for the Swansea defender’s services, with Fulham looking to bring in defensive reinforcements ahead of their return to the Premier League next weekend. The 26 year-old has not featured in Scott Parker’s first-team since January.
Good idea. He needs to play and regain his form. Hopefully he’ll be back fit and ready next season
I think this is a good idea because he needs playing time, as long as there is a clause where FFC can get him back as soon as he has regained fitness and form.
I think he is a good player that has been very unlucky since he signed for FFC and deserves his chance once he fully up and running.
lets hope it is a loan until January then if he has regained his form and fitness we can recall him. It does leave us with a desperate need of an other quality central defender which I consider should be our main priority in the next week.
