Fulham are close to clinching a deal to sign goalkeeper Jordan Archer on a free transfer.

The Walthamstow-born custodian is currently a free agent having made six appearances for Oxford United over the festive period as emergency cover for Simon Eastwood. Fulham have reportedly moved to sign Archer as cover for Marcus Bettinelli, who is believed to considering leaving Craven Cottage having lost his first team spot to Marek Rodak.

Archer started his career at Tottenham but achieved most success with Millwall, for whom he made 144 appearances in four years. His consistency at the New Den was rewarded with a call-up to the Scotland squad in 2018.
