Versatile Welsh youth international Jay Williams joined Fulham from Newport County after a successful trial in July 2019. Adept at playing across the back four or as a holding midfielder, the youngster shone in his first season with Steve Wigley’s under 18s as the young Whites clinched a second successive title. Despite a series of serious injuries, Williams has stepped up impressively to under-21 level and is considered a bright prospect for the future.
