Fulham are considering a loan move for Chelsea centre back Michael Hector, according to reports this morning.

Scott Parker and the Fulham hierarchy have made signing another centre back a priority as they look to strengthen their squad for another assault on the Championship this year. The Whites have already been linked with a host of Championship central defenders, including Brentford’s Erzi Konsa and Pontus Jansson of Leeds United, as well as defenders from overseas.

Hector, who is currently on international duty with Jamaica at the Gold Cup, is likely to be sent out on loan by Chelsea again this term. He has not made a single first-team appearance since move to Stamford Bridge from Reading in 2015. He has had sixteen loan spells during the course of career, the last of which was at Sheffield Wednesday last season. Fulham may face competition from the Owls for the 26 year-old signature, with Wednesday reportedly in talks with Chelsea over signing Hector on a permanent basis.
